The Chocolate Lady is independent chocolatier and artist, Paula J. Simpson, who
combines her passion for making chocolate and her artistic talents to create CocoArte - beautifully handcrafted chocolate paintings.
After earning a Professional Chocolatier Certificate of Achievement, with
Honors, from Ecole Chocolat, Paula created a line of artisan chocolates using
original recipes and adapting time-honored favorites. The Chocolate Lady
chocolateria opened in 2007 on the historical Wimberley square, in the heart of
a hill country art community. Paula first displayed CocoArte in the town’s
annual ArtWalk event. The response and popularity of the chocolate paintings has
since defined her place among chocolate artists. With favorable reviews and art
gallery representation, CocoArte has grown to feature new canvas sizes and
designs. While Paula has a particular affinity for reproducing classical works,
she also enjoys new challenges. The paintings are commissioned works and priced
